Finished Dresser & a Freebie

This antique dresser had great bones but no personality...

so, out came the sander....

 Once I got down to the raw wood, I loved the graining and color that I found. I decided to keep the sanded parts of the dresser raw, as they say. Just finished it with clear wax...

The body of the dresser was painted in Oyster White Milk Paint, then distressed to give it the personality that I was looking for....

The only thing missing is the hardware! I'm thinking clear glass would be the finishing touch. What do you think?

Now the freebie...I had one of my 'spotters' call me to tell me about this beauty sitting on the side of the road...thank you!!! This antique oak sideboard is missing it's lower doors but that doesn't matter. Those big 'holes' are going to be perfect with some baskets. The entire piece will get painted a shade of white and the mirror, pitted and all, will go back in. I can't wait to see how she comes out!!
