Bunker Hill Birthday Brunch

Yesterday, we headed into Boston to celebrate multiple family birthdays' at my Brother and soon-to-be-Sister-in-law's apartment. It was a gorgeous day! You never get 50 degrees in February, with no snow, in Boston, and we made the most of it. They live in the Bunker Hill area, which is just filled with history and charm.....

 Ironwork details....

Cobblestone streets....
Reproduction gas lights....

We went up to the Bunker Hill Monument, after enjoying a fabulous brunch, we needed some exercise...

All 294 spiral steps!! On top the hill to get to the monument, and of course their apartment is a 3rd floor walk-up, and of course they have a roof top deck, two flights above their place....needless to say, my legs got a great work out...well yes, of course I had a cupcake (and some champagne!) after burning all those calories! No need to join at gym living here!! Check out this view! You can see 'Old Ironside' (the Constitution), Bunker Hill Monument, The Zakim Bridge, the Prudential and Hancock Towers, the Boston Garden...stunning! I would love to see this place in the summer with everyone out enjoying their roof top decks, with plants, flowers and colorful patio furniture... pure fun!

A great day of celebrating with family! What could be better than that?!

Enjoy!
Kris

PS-they did decide to keep the birdcage coffee table...it looks great in their place!
