Summer is almost over, and I have been busy enjoying myself.
But now it's time to get back to work (happy me!).
I recently was invited if to look at some 'stuff' in an old chicken barn.
Did I want to go? Of course!
Here's what I saw upon walking in..
Rows and rows of film reels in canisters...So I picked some to take home, I really had to control myself. All I could think of was 'Wouldn't this make a great store display someplace like Anthropology?'. Once home, I had to unwind the film because all I really wanted was the reels and the cases. (I paid my son to do this tedious job.)
Piles of film...but here's what I was looking for...
All different colors and shapes and states of glorious 'rustyness'!
Won't they look great on a media room wall?
They'll be for sale at The Spaulding Cooperage soon!
I couldn't resist snapping a picture of this truck on my way into up the drive to the barn, love the colors...too bad it's not road worthy anymore!
Also managed to pick up some items from a different barn on the same property. Love the chalkboard sign made from a barn attic access door and the two coffee boxes. What to do with those?
Glass tops for coffee table cubes (pun intended!)?
I can't wait to do my 'switch out' next week at the shop! I have some great new items to bring in.
Stop by next weekend to see it.
Enjoy the last bit of summer!
